I found the video quality of the AMC+ app to be horrible.
Surprisingly the picture quality after signing up for AMC+ through Amazon Prime Video was much better.
I was using a Sony OLED tv and an Apple 4K tv streaming box.

As soon as you submit the code, it says: AMC30FT applied. And "Free trial
30 days free" above the code. Make sure you submit the code before clicking on start free trial. Or maybe try another email? I didn't like that the only payment option was a credit card.

I heard some complaints when people signed up through the Roku app. I got charged a hidden fee on top of the monthly fee when I signed up that way. They had some BS excuse when I asked them why. Certainly won't do that again.

Worked fine for me. New account; never had a sub or trial sub to AMC+ before.

The Roku app sucks big time. Not even a search feature? Really? Haven't tried the iOS app yet, but I don't do any streaming there, so it's irrelevant.

There's a ton of AMC stuff I've really loved over the years. I haven't had access to AMC for ages, so there may be a ton more great programming there I haven't seen yet. But if I have to watch through this brain damaged Roku app, forget it. I'll run out the free trial and wait until they decide it's worth some investment into the development of a decent app.

All is not lost though. I'll finally be able to watch the last season of Orphan Black... 8 years later.

I received the error message "Promo does not apply to selected plan" when I tried using my existing account, which did not have an active subscription. However, after creating a new account, the same code worked successfully and granted me a 30-day free trial. Hope this helps the others like me.

I've subscribed on and off for several years, and never had issues with canceling. I've always done the annual sub, and I cancel shortly before renewal. I just wait until there's something I really want to watch before I renew again. (All done on AMC+ site in browser)
