CDWs and PC Connection's cost is $1,170.

I sell technology for a living so I can see the cost from distribution and this will 99.9% ship from one of the major distributors.

Killer deal on a laptop with 4080. Wishing I held off on that Lenovo I bought a while back but at the same time I buy stuff @ cost.

I don't understand the logic here. Yea this was a $2k laptop when it came out. A 50XX will be $2k and then in over a year it'll be on sales maybe close to this. So you're saying don't buy this at $1300, instead buy the 50xx at $2300 because in a year it'll be $1300???

Screen sucks but 4080 at this price is good. I personally went with the other Msi stealth which has much better screen a lot more ram. Hopefully they honor the order

This seems like a really good deal. Which supplier is best to purchase from?

Return policy is seemingly better at CDW than PC Connection from what I could find online, but I don't have personal experience.

Other one went backordered while it was in my cart and they cancelled my order.

I jumped on this one right away not wanting the same thing to happen, but I'm having second thoughts. Is this really good deal or should I wait for something similar to the last CDW MSI deal?.

Most interested in gaming performance as I don't do anything else that uses the full capabilities of the laptop. Man, I hope the ram is upgradable.

No man, 5000 series! Coming almost the same price
I really doubt at this price lol. Also the 5000 series dont have much of a leap in terms of raw cuda core power. Just more software improvements for dssl4 and ai which not all games will support. Also 5080 laptops will be priced around 2k when released not at this price point

You see the price of this laptop at 2k right? There will be sells just like this one. I'm sure all up and coming games will support a.i. and support d4! Who cares about raw power if it looks good. I used to be just like you wanting native 4K , but that's a thing of the past.

I have this for over a year now. I upgraded the ram with 64gb kingston fury. This machine is a beast with a full wats rtx 4080 at 175w tdp.

How bright is the screen in nits? I wish manufacturers would be more open about their screens. I think I've come to understand if it's not listed it's probably 300 nits

My only issue with this laptop is the horrible screen. Lots of reviews about washed out colors, dim etc... If you're hooking up to a monitor I guess that wouldn't be a concern. I did read about people swapping out the LCD for something better but then that's another $150-200

I was going to use this primarily on a monitor and a 4k projector.
How is the cooling for gaming in medium setting? The profile seems too sleek , any thoughts?

This laptop has some of the best thermals in its class. Great value if you do not mind the screen.

Very solid machine for the price if you mainly use an external monitor and upgrade the ram. Surprised to hear it has the full fat 175w 4080. It's also heavy but who cares if it sits on a desk?
