Sort of like "where's the beef?" but "where's the X3D?"

I'm not blowing a 500 dollar load on DDR5 without that 3D cache.

I just want a good deal on the 9900X... if the Trump tariff tax kicks in then I guess I can forget about it. My 7600X has been working well enough... though I could use more cores.

They'll both be good for workloads. The 9950x will be better if your software can take advantage of the 16 cores and 32 threads. You'll also want a high end dGPU to go along with it.

Seems to be a good deal for decent parts (apart from the CPU ofc) unlike the last bundle

Any of these recommended as a starting point for a 4K video editing machine?

Even weaker computers will do 4k editing fine depending upon the codec the original video was captured with and the type of editing you're doing. Davinci Resolve is the type of program you want to utilize...not crap like Adobe Premier

That's the software (Davinci) I will be planning to use for editing videos from mirrorless camera.

Wait for better pricing. Most of November and December it was $382 for 9900x and $340 for X870 gigabyte +32gb ram. Plus awesome cashback at C1.

This will improve as holiday return windows expire on 1/31.

Same. Davinci works really well on 9900x. I paired mine with a 4070 super from Walmart which was $480 after C1 Cashback at Walmart

Microcenter recently downgraded the memory latency (to CL36) with their bundles.

People need to reevaluate if they even need 3D cache.
I keep hearing people online say they need 3D cache, ignoring that the 9900x is still plenty powerful without 3d cache.

In reality, the ones who benefit having 3dcache are using high refresh monitors and high end system.

Thanks for this. Does the 4070 Super come with 12GB memory and sufficient for your Davinci usage? I keep reading that 4080 or 4090 is minimum which is a lot more money. I'd rather spend it on more goodies for my mirrorless. Nikon 600PF is calling me Wink
