I haven't seen 365 "lifetime" much- I assume it's through a volume license. I would expect they're more likely to crackdown with the cloud storage aspect? YMMV

So they are setting you up with an email address on their volume license of 365 and you can't change the email - probably because it's part of some domain associated to the subscription - and there is absolutely no way to guarantee this is going to last forever because - someone else has to be paying a bill to Microsoft every year, and, Microsoft has to NOT CATCH THEM VIOLATING THEIR TERMS BY SELLING USER SEATS.
Groupon probably has no idea this is a scam bc I'm sure nobody even looked closely at this, you can list anything on Groupon it's like Ebay more or less.
At a minimum, you should be aware that NerdUsed or whatever Tenant admin they are piggybacking on - will have COMPLETE ACCESS TO ALL OF YOUR FILES.
Imagine this is like a WORK account that your employer gives you. This is not a private license that you own. You are taking a seat on their license meaning they can control your apps and they can see your files.
