They collected all my information. SSN, employer, DL, Etc. They sent me a 6-digit security code to my phone, which I correct entered into their website. After entering the correct 2FA code, it asked for it *again*, and an email came through rejecting my checking account application without explanation. Bizarre. Never turned away from an account in my life. Oh well. There goes my personal information into another database.

Hmmm, no other recent bonuses for them, so no clue on what might or might not trigger as a DD via ACH... Kinda risky if you don't have a legit DD to use.

Do we need to report this to IRS tax? afaik any amount under $600 is not taxable. But If someone getting 2 promotion eg 400 and another 300 from 2 different bank, does it become taxable?

The bank will send you (and IRS) an 1099-int early next year.

Reviews are horrible for this bank although I don't plan on keeping it long term. So do you have to maintain direct deposits for 6 months or just one and done and wait to 6 months to close account?
