NJ sales tax laws are unique and intricate, but not overly complex. Quest bars should be taxed.
Kirkland and Fit Crunch should not.
The reason comes down to 1 singular ingredient... "flour".

Anything in bar form that has a natural or artificial sweetener is considered a candy bar. BUT, anything that has flour as an ingredient becomes considered a food that is no longer taxed. Kirkland bars have peanut FLOUR, and fit crunch has both peanut and rice flour.

Super weird, but that's why NJ pays sales tax on a Snicker and Reeses Cup but not on a Kitkat or Twix.

Add 3 to cart - 20% will apply to all 3 + 'Save $4.17 on 3 select item(s)' = $44.04 for 3 - $14.68/box (for White Chocolate/Brownie - variety doesn't have a multibuy discount)

I pulled the trigger on 3 boxes of the variety pack. Total was $48 after all discounts, $1.33 per bar.

I was too slow and now the $4.17 off three is gone. But I'm somehow unable to get the 15% off S&S even with 5 items… is there a trick?

I was able to get 4 boxes worked out to $1.33 a bar. Not as good a price as kirkland bars but every now and then its good to have some variety and sample the Quest flavors, good find!

The $4.17 off three was only for two specific flavors, but, by the time I tried it earlier today, it no longer worked.
I only added 3x of the variety pack for S&S after checking the 20% off coupon. It worked out to $48 on the checkout page.

Lucky you, it's $59 for me. And it's weird how they charge taxes. In NJ, I don't pay taxes for protein bars at some stores yet at others I pay tax… it's so weird. Like Kirkland bars and quest bars and fit crunch I don't pay tax at Costco, yet at Sam's club, gnc, Amazon, even 7-11 I pay taxes on the same protein bars. I don't get it

Man, high-value comment. I'd rather pay tax than eat flour in a bar, though. Smilie
