Looks like a great price for what it is.
I've never run my Steam or EA/Epic game library off of an external USB SSD Drive, but this seems like a great use case for this drive. Particularly if you are are still catching up on a backlog of games that are 2-5+ years old, which likely can't take advantage of NVMe SSD speeds anyway.
For the use case above, it's easier and cheaper than buying a 2.5" SSD or M.2 NVMe drive and installing it internally (provided you even have spare ports to begin with).

I've been backing up my C drive (~200GB) once a week for maybe a year or so and the TBW of the back up drive already surpasses the TBW of the main drive. Meaning the backup drive will eventually fail way before the main drive.

Crucial doesn't share TBW ratings on their external drives, but even the most garbage of QLC drives are good for 200 DW. At 2TB, that's 400TB. Backing up 200 GB once a week means that the drive will be good for 38!! years.
And that's assuming you blindly do full drive backups. No differential backups or anything remotely smart...
Even if you wrote a full 2TB to the drive once a week, that's still four years on the shittiest 2TB drive that money can buy. And honestly, all of the drives I've killed from NAND degradation have failed at 2x or 3x the rated TBW.
