If you think I'm joking, check your own current paid ISP plan's terms of service. Non-trivial probability they're already doing similar to you, at least if you're not protected by something like the EU's GDPR.
Is that what's going on here, or is their business model different somehow?
Anyways...So they will pay you in their crypto token., Which they then accept as payment.Or you can sell yourself. Im assuming they are going to expand on this somehow.
Also a while back they were talking about another app that carriers were going to opt into that allows people to use each others phones a a hotspot for a small fee.
Just a guess but maybe something with this as well.
They are not the only company going this way there are going to be some announcements very soon of others going this path

As far as I am concerned this was just a data grab and seems like a Scam to me
I contacted them **5 days ago** and they got back to me **today** to not say anything other than to say:
***
<"we thank you for your feedback (while not answering the questions) blahblahblah"...>
If you have more queries or need assistance regarding the verification process, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Best Regards,

And just now got another email from that same bot "Wes" saying:

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to check if you're still connected to our chat session; it's been a few hours since the last message, and I wanted to make sure we could keep the communication going. Can you let me know that you're still here? I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I'm sorry, but WHAT!? What "chat session"? This was email.
"keep the communication going"? What was the use to begin with when nothing was answered and you just said "If you have more queries feel free to reach out"?
It should've been easy for them to explain whether or not they were the middleman for Persona and have access to the info that they **THEN** pass to Persona to process, or if they have the procedures like merchants implementing paypal as a payment option where you are redirected to paypal to authenticate and confirm payment.
I had my personal number on ring plus when it went belly up. Plenty of time and chances to port out and keep it safe. Never had an issue porting in or out from anywhere really. I've been on well over a dozen carriers over the years. I'm not saying port issues don't happen, but quit the scare tactics.
No complaints
Had it since November 2023, no issues across a dozen lines.
I bet this will have catches like ads, very slow data (3g) unless you pay to upgrade for higher priority speed, etc. I wouldn't depend on this for your main cellular service.
Actually I think this is sustainable and not too expensive for helium to offer. You can get a 1gb plan with unlimited talk and text for $5 a month (good2go). I would imagine this would be a similar cost, if that. Data over hotspots is free to helium. I would think a decent amount of the free users would convert to paid accounts. Will be interesting to see how this plays out

It's required only if you want to earn their crypto tokens by giving up your location info.
edit: got the answer from YouTube. need to enable qr code on wearable app.
this helium plan is worth only $2 for your hassles.
There is a base cost for 3gb. It's not proportional. I wager this plan as it sits is worth around $7 a month on the open market. You're also comparing infimobile promo price to a non promo helium plan. Hardly apples to apples here.
