nope. I distincly remember only buying when it was a 4 for $10 deal and that wasnt long before covid. I rarely buy it anymore. I can afford it but its just a terrible deal and i cant justify it in my head

Current price is $7.19 for a 12 pack and 40% off would bring it down to $4.31 but if you have to get 3 it's $12.94.

Kroger has a current sale for (1 to 5) coke, pepsi or 7up (also includes A&W, Canada Dry, Barq's, Cheerwine, Crush, Mountain Dew, Rite, Fanta, Dr.Pepper, Fresca, Brisk, Mellow Yello, Minute Maid, Seagram's, RC, Sprite, Squirt, Starry, Sunkist & Yoo-hoo) 12 packs for $4.99 for the next 5 days with a digital coupon

Kroger's MSRP is $10.99 for a 12 pack so if you only want 1, 2, 4 or 5 it's the better "deal" (best deal is cutting out soda entirely)

Edit: Checked and MSRP varies from $7.19 to $7.99. The Target deal only works on multiples of 3 even and with the 5% red/circle card the deal is still basic and not beating Kroger (if you need exactly 3,6,9,12 go with Target to save a few $)

Without knowing what the following week's "MSRP" will be, the % off seems less of a value these days. The MSRP changes week to week (i.e. I see $9.99 for 12 packs "regular" price one week and $7.99 regular price in different weeks). Retail smoke and mirrors!
They may all be doing that Burger King (or was it Wendy's?) thing where the digital menu dynamically changes prices based on time of day/demand.

Why is no one mentioning the Molson Coors rebate to double up the deal here? You can literally get 4 12 packs free if you grab them under $4.99

https://www.molsoncoorsrebates.co...7696227835

Certain states so read the details and get those receipts uploaded! I did this deal x2 last night at Kroger! $20 should be my rebate on 4.

Three 12 pks of Dr Pepper show $13.48 before tax for me. Why not $12.94 as shown in this SD post?

I regularly bought 4 for 10 deals pre-covid. Now i rarely drink soda. These prices are ludicrous.

I wish they had 12oz Diet Starry. It's easily become one of my favorite sodas.

The regular price of 12 packs of pop change throughout the country. I'm in the Chicago Northwest burbs and they're $7.99 a 12 pack.

Not surprisingly, CA is not in the list of valid states. Yet another reason Coors is crap.

So if you maximize this "deal" you're getting the price to just under double what it was pre-COVID. What a steal.

That's not a knock on the OP, this is just the reality of today's pricing. Like with cigarettes we're all too addicted to change our buying habits regardless of price gouging so we've shown Pepsi and Coke that there's zero reason they should ever return their products to those pre-COVID prices again.

Are they? I haven't looked in a while but as of a year or two ago my understanding was they were making as much or even more money than they were making pre-COVID because the normal price/demand curve doesn't really apply to products like this where consumers purchases are based on addictions.

I just read an article that CocaCola sales were down like 23% and PepsiCo was barely break-even, but PepsiCo has the advantage that they sell other things than beverages (snack products, etc.) so they're not hurting as bad.

I think overall, like many said here, they've reduced their consumption or stopped it altogether and have switched to water (of various sorts) and healthier drinks, especially the younger generations.

Here's part of the article:

"Costco's choice to now revert back to Coca-Cola products comes after the beverage company revealed in its latest earnings report that it faced a 23% year-over-year decline in operating revenue (a company's profit after expenses) during the third quarter of 2024."
