Gonna get down voted no end, unless you put in title that it is only applicable for that single specific plan among the many they have.

And that plan is a sucker prop bet to boot vs. the next best Go5G+ plan

Lol, gonna get downvoted even if you put Next plan in title, but maybe a little less than leaving it out. Haven't seen too many net+ Next only threads

I see over the past few years, T-Mobile has been trying to starve out Magenta plans by making all their phone deals dependent on non-Magenta plans. I'm certainly not giving up my 2 lines for 80 dollars, combined, for this.

Nor I! Never switching out of my Simple Choice plan. 9 lines for $120 right now. Waiting for the next free line promotion to get that up to 10 for $120.

I'm also not letting go of 2 lines TT only + 2 MI lines = $55 all taxes included. Still qualify for a few promos past few months such as: iPhone 16, Pixel 9, Pixel 8a all free with low value trades.

That deal required new lines. Thanks, though.

Go5G Next plan should be in title, such click baiting.

A little confused, the deal seems good but all the comments seem to share negative sentiment. For a non-t-mobile user who doesn't have a legacy account, is this still a bad deal? Getting the new phone for free seems nice.

ok followed this a bit, the Go5G Next plan is $100/month. I'm using Boost and have a $25/month plan that works great, this is beyond my willingness to upgrade to a new phone and new plan.

hope this info helps!

Yes if you are not on a legacy plan this is about as good as it gets.
However, the next time that you are due for an upgrade, you will find that all the upgrade deals require the Go6G plan, which of course you don't have. If you decide to switch, just realize that this will be the only "free" phone that you will receive unless you continually increase your plan cost.
