Their prices are wild on the not for sale items. Like double amazon sometimes.

Some decent movies there.

As a collector, I only collect movies that come complete with the slipcover. I usually don't deal with companies that don't have physical locations or free returns. Does anyone know if their movies always come with slipcovers or if it's just hit or miss like with most retailers? Like from the OP pictures, I would expect Angel Has Fallen and The Beekeeper to come with the slips, and wouldn't order the other 2.

I don't know about Gruv, but if it's of any use to you, only 2 blu-ray out of 7 from my Amazon order came with a slip cover. So I'm not sure how you can guarantee it anymore except maybe at a Walmart or Target if Target still sells physical discs.

From my experience, I only expect a slip cover if you buy it new at release. Then I figure as the digital codes start expiring, the movies are gutted and repackaged with new coverart without the digital on it. Then those copies are shrinkwrapped without y folds. Since the slip cover advertises digital included, they are at that point disposed of. I have no confirmation of this, but that is how I assumed it all worked and you can tell based on the shrink wrapping job.

Slipcovers are generally only included on the first runs of a movie. No mass market retailer will guarantee them because the manufacturer doesn't. Unless you pay inflated prices from a collector site, you are never going to know. Gruv is just like anywhere else.

I used to only buy from Best Buy and Target, because even if there was no slip on shipped orders, I would go into the store find one with a slip and get the ok to take it after showing that I purchased from them. Now that BB is done and Target barely has anything, I do Amazon when they do their buy 3 for $30 type deals. Usually 2 out of 3 will have slips, on average, and I'll just take the 3rd one to Kohl's or whatever for a free return.

Hit or miss. Sometimes I get multiple copies of the same movie and one will have a slipcover and one won't.

I never said that I haven't heard of them. But what I did say was that I don't deal with companies that don't have physical locations or free returns...so there's that. I suppose they technically have free returns, but 1) I don't like their 14-day return period and 2) I prefer dealing with amazon because I can return items to a multitude of physical locations in my travels and don't even have to repackage them.

You're a collector and never ordered from Gruv? LOL You're more likely to get a slip from Gruv than any other online shop.

Yes, I'm a collector and have never ordered from Gruv. It will most likely stay that way, unless they have a good sale on steelbooks. They have had some in the past, but I only collect 4K movies that were shot in 4K, and the steelbooks I've seen in their sales are either not or are titles I already have.

I'm a collector with thousands of items in my collection and I can't imagine having this level of ocd. Also there are 2k upscales that look better than most native 4ks.

Your version of collecting sounds like more of an annoyance than a hobby
