I was initially apprehensive and have been watching this sort of set up since the Q950-A or B or whatever it was.. and finally pulled the trigger once the hdmi 2.1 spec was there. Definitely does not disappoint!

Now that we know the rears are connected, few things come to mind:
- Do you get surround sound from other sources such as your tv apps or streaming devices? If yes,
- Is your PS set to surround mode (or 5.1 or 7.1)? If yes,
- Is the PS connected to your tv or directly to the sound bar? If connected to the tv, make sure the tv is set to pass through!
- Is the hdmi cable connected to the correct (input) hdmi port? If yes,
-Try a different HDMI cable!
It would be helpful to know your setup as there are more troubleshooting suggestions specific to different setups
