i bought a zbook x2 g4, refurbished off ebay. It is the single best tech purchase I've ever made (over 32 years of using tech). It isn't perfect, but the dreamcolor 4k display is fantastic. I can't say whether quality has gone down since then as my model is 7 years old at this point. But it has held up very well, only had to replace the battery. Might look at this although I would need to swap in a 1tb or larger hd.
Zbooks, Probooks, and Elitebooks are built much better than Pavillion and Victus models.
That said, this isn't a deal.
Agreed, we have mostly elitebooks and zbooks we deploy at my office. However there's a difference in this and even the spectre laptops. These won't necessarily be MacBook sleek, but they take a serious beating and perform well. I have an older ZBook Power right now. He's a little chonky, but 4+ years later still getting firmware updates and performs like a champ.
you are setting yourself up for disaster with no manufacturer warranty and the allstate warranty is beyond painful. you will literally be on the phone five to six hours just to diagnose something and after the third call is when they ask you to send it in! Then after 8 weeks of keeping the laptop they will say it isn't covered!
