As a staunch hater of apple's anti consumer practices, it's really unfortunate that even I must admit that the mac mini m4 is a tremendous bargain for most users. If you're willing to deal with MacOS, the mac mini is a far better deal than pretty much any miniPC up to $1,000

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank oppman29

Why not get a Mini PC with ryzen 7 7735H instead? For 50 dollars more you can get 32 gig of ram and at least 1 tb M.2 SSD. This intel one seems overpriced for this processor.

I have the 1240P version of this BRIX machine. Yeah I know, it's barebones (no memory or storage), but at the time I already had parts laying around like 16GB DDR4 sodimm sticks, NVME and SATA ssd drive, etc. I modified mine to use an oculink connection (I cut a hole on the base cover to I can fish through the oculink cable through back corner). I formerly had the eGPU setup on USB4/TB4, but keeping this as oculink permanently. So much better performance. I have a Miniforum UM773Lite I will do the same with. Also to note, it's DDR4 machine.

Like others mention, definitely better options out there w/ RAM and Storage/OS included.

TPM module is a pain to get later on. Would anyone know if this is included to run windows 11?

lol

My AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS mini pc beats the M4 10 core and I paid USD ~460 last year, with 32gb of RAM and 1TB NVME. The best layout with the M4 10 core is 24 gb RAM and 512 NVME and it's USD 1,000.

You are ALWAYS overpaying for Apple hardware.

The Beelink Ser7 is a fine choice, but no I am personally running a Kodlix AD78. Kodlix is a minisforum sub brand. There is no support whatsoever, but the product itself is incredible.

There are many great Windows Mini PCs out there.

How is this a deal or makes it better than Mini PC options you have that comes with Windows 11 Pro?

You can get a PELADN HO4
i7-13620H
16GB DDR4
512GB NVME
WiFi 6.0/BT 5.2
2x2.5GB Ethernet
1xUSB 4.0
2xUSB 3.2
2xUSB 2.0
Win11 Pro

For $352 or less on Temu ($220 if you consider getting $130 in credits)

Is it just use case for those wanting 4x video outputs, TB, or Iris iGPU?

So far, yes. But I've only had it since November. Beelink, Minisforum, GMKTec, Aoostar, Topton, and the big boys like Lenovo, Dell, and HP all have reliable names in the mini pc market. if you are familiar with Reddit there is a great sub r/minipcs where you can get a lot of help.

This is nice if you're worried about potential firmware-level malware hiding in the Chinese-built mini-PCs.

Safer if it has TPM 2.0
