I bought this and it gave me a promo code under which it said "Your codes must be redeemed within 30 days"

Use the alternating technique. Year 1 you be the primary and your partner the secondary. Year 2 switch , your partner be the primary and you secondary. This way you can always get new member promos. I have been using a Free or fully rebated membership (one year even a money maker) for past 5 years now.

I'm assuming they ship to the West coast, based on this:
Can I have my order shipped outside of the U.S.? To an APO/FPO? To a P.O. box?

I guess the question everyone is asking is if BJ's still has an online-only membership for people that are in states without a BJ's warehouse, which they can use this deal on.

Just turn off easy renewal after you get the $20 reward. Very easy in app, have done this for several years now.

I'm sure you can have things shipped via their website. I have a BJs and Sam's Club nearby. Always found BJs more expensive and annoying with their coupon program to get any deals. However they did carry things that Sam's didn't, so this will just be highly dependent if they have a good price on things you need.

Please Read: It's a great deal but I took advantage of this the last time it happened in November or December and had an issue.

I noted on my calendar when I joined, and made sure I purchased the minimum amount required for the $20 credit. I then noted on my calendar the 30 day expiration of when my credit would expire. Well, the credit didn't appear within 5 days of when I was supposed to use it. I had to call customer service. They didn't fight me and awarded it to me after the call, but it was not automatic. So take a photo of redemption code and save your confirmation email just in case you get a less helpful rep.

I just bought this with the Venmo option but I don't see any indication it actually worked. So, i would suggest not doing that. Lol
