If you're drilling steel, skip these and get a cobalt set. These carbide ones are fantastic for masonry.

Red ones are for softer material and cannot do tile. I tired on tile and it ruined it. Carbide performance is much superior

I was in the market for masonry bits, so I looked at HF. They have Warrior and Hercules. Are these any better, besides the name brand? Don't meant to start any rants about brands.

If you have to drill concrete, brick or masonry you should buy a SDS Drill and SDS (slotted drive system) bits.

I wouldn't use these for wood or anything soft as listed. These are pretty much masonry/concrete drill bits.
I bought 2-3 of these drill bits to be able to drill 16 holes through tough concrete. They worked great with my regular drill. They would have done better with a hammer drill though. These bits took some real abuse; full weight down on them and they didnt break,

I got a set of the red ones like 60 days ago. I haven't opened them yet, so could still return them. Is there any reason to own black oxide, titanium and then the red *and* white colored carbide drill bits?

These are masonry bits . Black oxide and titanium are for metals. Different uses

Ok that's what I figured for the titanium and black oxide. Is there a purpose to own both the red and white bit sets?

Stick to the white, it can drill through tile vs the red which cannot
