this is the stupid way of doing it. add both item to cart individually, then add a $160 filler: like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../329967572

cancel the filler and the price will be $512 WITHOUT the military discount.

I'm getting $607 when I do that, not $512.

449 + 399 + 159 =1,007 - 400 = 607

($400 discount for BMSM)

Edit: Nevermind I didn't add in the return price for the speaker. You're right this a better deal.

I hear mixed reviews on this miter saw. Anyone have hands on experience with the miter?

so do the makita tracks. the only thing that doesnt work with non-oem tracks is the tilt lock.

If I just want the track saw can I sell the miter saw for enough to make this a good deal?

This is a good option if you don't receive a military discount. Otherwise, just order the combo and the military discount is applied for you.

Good prices, but the 7 1/4" miter saw has me on the fence. I don't really need it. 7 1/4" is really too small IMHO for a good compound miter saw. The reviews online for that particular saw also seem very average. As someone said. I wonder if I can unload the saw for what I paid to make it worth my effort.

Use BMSM to get track saw to $247 (picked Miter saw, HACKZALL and track saw.)

Festool with the scoring blade is the only one that makes sense. This is fine as long as it's not cutting $1,000 panels. Even then it's still prob fine as most panel ends will be hidden by material, or scribed a bit further.

I guess the festool is really mostly needed for wood counters that match, and can't be touched up
