These things are cheap for a reason. This one doesn't actually 'turn off', it just redirects the electricity to an internal heater. You're burning energy all day and it the potential for it to short out is doubled x 18 of them feels like a real gamble.

I actually have these. Been using them for over a year and no problem. For price and options its nice to have in your hallway or for areas you need to walk through in your house at night that are dark. We've come a long way from a simple night light switch w/ these lol.
