Consumer Reports gives it 80/100 with excellent function/performance scores stating "This model had No performance flaws Noted." It's only brought down by expected reliability and satisfaction (likely due to a few bad years of Samsung appliances). It's definitely worth buying at this price IMHO.
If you register, you'll get a free extra year warranty too.

Induction ranges are efficient and cook rapidly. I recommend that people watch youtube videos that demonstrate induction cooking.
If I cooked more often than I do, I'd buy this range.
I used to sell appliances and Samsung wasn't my favorite brand. But this is a good price for a slide-in Induction.

If you don't have pots and pans that are made from a ferrous metal (Magnet will stick to it) you will need to purchase those. Copper, aluminum will NOT cook on this top.

It's only $100 more at costco
https://www.costco.com/samsung-6....less+steel

Buying from costco includes 2-year warranty, free delivery, installation, haul away of old appliance.

Could well be worth the $100 difference for many.

How's the noise on this? I hear induction ranges have a fan noise and buzzing noise as well.

It's actually very good. Reduces excess heat in the kitchen too, you'll see. Just check you have the proper pot/pans. Also go for any added Samsung coupon/rewards/..etc found on their site.
Canning is also much improved, boiling big vats (have to buy induction capable) over and over again goes by much, much more quickly and only heats the canning container. It is an incredible improvement. We have the first edition GE Profile range going on about 15 years now.

Is it an older model? What is the reason for the deep discount?
Yes the newer version is the Bespoke and all of the Induction ranges are knobless.

You'll be sorry down the road. Worst refrigerators, washers and driers… I went through a number of Samsung appliances and cursed the day I ever bought a Samsung product (except their phones)…. Longevity doesn't exist, period.
This! This! 1000 x THIS!

I will add Samsung microwaves to this list!

Yes which is why im ordering now.. not a fan of knobless stoves still. The price drop is a extra bonus.

I can't speak to this model (just bought this deal from costco), but my parents have an induction range. Theirs hums about as loud as a gas burner on low to medium. It also has a periodic clicking (probably a relay cycling). I didn't hear that in youtube videos people showed with this range.

In case anyone is wondering, this stove is not covered by the recent recall of Samsung stoves with knobs on the front. Looks like you need to push the knob in slightly to turn this stove on.

FWIW I got the Samsung induction with the control panel (not knobs) and air fryer in December. The Frigidaire was my top choice, but I got a killer deal (under $700).

I HATE IT. For several reasons. And I'm still trying to get someone from Tier 2 support at Samsung to contact me weeks later about two issues with it.

If you're plunging ahead though, this is a solid deal. Knobs are absolutely the way to go, and if I had it to do over again, this is the one I'd have gotten. It's worth a few hundred more.

Someone asked about Black Friday pricing. This deal is a little better than the EDU/EPP deal was on this model back then.

FWIW, it is an older model (see the model number) but it is not discontinued as of now.

Dang, I wanted to purchase this, until a quick search explained the high EMF exposure, as a byproduct of the induction technology. Any of my fellow health conscious slickdealers have any say?

There have been studies that have shown that 220V Induction tops can heat as rapidly (Or more rapidly) as Pro-Gas tops.
Also, less chance of scalding the food.
if it heats just as fast, it should have the same chance of burning the food.
