It's stuff like that as to why I go to AE for most metal or plastic tangibles now. I just got a 2-sided peeler and shredder thing that works WAY better than any peeler I've had in the past. My old one from many years ago reminds me of this one on 'sale' 😂 Anyway good post

I don't have this peeler specifically, but Ikea does sell a similar one for $1 or full metal ones for $3. I think the America test kitchen recommended Kuhn Rikon was $5. This price seems okay in comparison. I've used the $1 Ikea one and $5 Kuhn Rikon one, and they peel and that's all that matters. Maybe ergonomics might be better on this one if that matters, but I peel carrots/daikons once a month and I've never had issues with ergonomics with either of mine.
