I have both, and I would have to agree with you that ICON has better build quality with strong magnets. However, the ICON is fixed and cannot be rotated like the Braun light, which is frustrating when you're working in the engine bay. I would 100% get the ICON light if I'm gifting it to someone, but for my needs, it's the Braun light.

Went by and grabbed one for a throwaway light for the truck. Bottom half is metal, top half that swivels is plastic but not thick like impact resistant plastic. So, we'll see how long that lasts. For $15 I mean even the charge at the store showed it was decently bright. Haven't been in a Harbor Freight in a while. The icon version of this light is all metal and they have those Snap On, Matco puck lights. I have a couple streamlight flip mates, but when there is a sale on icon stuff I will go back and grab a couple of those puck lights.

Went on Saturday night. Thought they would be all gone already, but got lucky. They were out in their normal hanging spot, but a cashier pointed out two that were hanging on an end cap. Might have been the last two in the store.

That sucks I missed this. I own one it's a great work light I would like a second bc I wish the battery life was a little longer. It sucks when you're working on your car especially at nite time and the battery runs out on your light
