Was stoked about buying one of these a while back. Thought, "Oh man, I'll finally be able to get to all those random hard-to-reach fasteners!"...

Well, as it turns out, having your giant meatball fist holding this thing often makes it EVEN HARDER to get to many oddly-placed fasteners.

You're better off with a good collection of wobble bits and extensions.

FWIW, i purchased these the last time they went 'on sale' back in 10/2020 for about the same price each. I haven't really found a use for either the 1/4" or 3/8" models and they've sat relatively unused in my toolbox since then. They seem well-built and i'm sure can be of use in specific scenarios but I haven't found use cases yet where they could be of great value

Oooo… a tool I know nothing about, and I don't have …yet. I was this close to clicking. I had visions of a project at a standstill, friends, family coworkers gathered around shaking their heads. "It's OK" I say "I got this. " And I go over to my toolbox - in the "special drawer" and pull out the gear wrench gimbal deluxe 2000 and all is good. Then I read the comments and once again, Slickdeals nation saved me. I wasn't quite sure myself of the use case, and then when I read about others that bought it and are still waiting for that case to pop up, as well as if you could picture using it how the heck do you get your hand in there and how do you get enough grip on it etc. Thanks posters - once again your comments educated me and now I have 10 bucks set aside to drop on the next Ryobi green colored thingamajig on SD that I know I'll have to have.

I like their "thumbwheel ratchets" better, they are easier to grip especially with dirty/greasy hands. I don't use them often.

Big fan of Gearwrench. I'm trying to think of any situation where I would need/want this over my ratchet. In close engine bays it seem like I wouldn't be able to get the torque I would need to remove a bolt, especially with dirty hands. They should have added knurling.

True about the 1/4" drive going up, but the 3/8" drive one is still $10.24. Sure wish this had knurling to give us better grip!

And if you wanna tighten it to torque specs? Just buy a ratchet with flexible head...

Definitely one of those tools you may only ever use once or a few times during your lifetime. BUT! The times that you do need it make it well worth $10 to have right there in your toolbox instead of "wishing they made something that could get that bolt off" and then searching, finding this, ordering and waiting a few days.

I like the third example pic which clearly shows a regular ratchet would be way easier.

Waste of $10.25 for over 99 percent of the population.
