Beware additional fees and taxes are going to be huge. Mint doesn't tell you about this until you try to check out. Expect something like $80. It not a killer but it makes the deal much worse than it looks.

So like $640-$660 total.

Mint Mobile is the best deal, IMO. I switched to them about 4 year ago and haven't looked back. Just as reliable as any major carrier but a fraction of the cost. Even their international service is way cheaper. I'm traveling in Panama at the moment and service is seamless here. And Mint only charges $20 for a 10-day international plan.

I might of really considered it if it was the 256gb model, but I can wait no rush.
Mint has never done a deal like this on a 256G model.

Until a phone is released where the lowest you can get is 256G, they probably won't. Google wants you to pay for online storage.

The "additional fees" are like $18. You can't blame Mint for sales tax.

Yup . Can't do 128 anymore unless it's dirt cheap.

Per our current policy, Mint Mobile phones will automatically be unlocked 60 days after activation on our network.
Does it require the phone must be operated consistently for 60 days? What about phone swapping after activation ? Does the phone swapping break the unlock policy?

Not from my experience. I just popped the Mint SIM in for a few mins from another phone. Make some calls /use some data. Took the SIM out and put it in back in the original phone. 60 days later it was unlocked.

How does the existing customer get the phone only? I do not see an option to skip plan selection.

How long do I have to be away from Mint to get this deal? Currently on the Google Fi 50 percent off promo.
Half off new lines for 6 months and it is just the plan not device.

There are only instant and device credits via Fi.

Yes, I logged in first and saw my plan details, then I went to the shop new phone page afterwards.
