I have a couple of these gladiator work benches from years back. They are beasts. If they're the size you need, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.

Seville Classics UltraHD line sold at Sam's Club are all 24+in deep, typically this same price, and arguably better quality. Free shipping with plus membership.

They also have the heavier duty 52"/74"/96" tables on Deal of the day as well. The 74" is here: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Gladiato...5013766899

The lower end table like the OP's link is OK for use around the house as just a big desk, flat surface to put things on, or for light hand work.

But if you're looking for an actual garage workbench to run big power tools or machinery on, the heavier duty tables are far superior. I have two of the 74" Gladiator tables and a heavy duty Husky; the Gladiators are much more stable, the worktop is 1.75" thick and much nicer and sturdier than the 1" Husky and the finish holds up better to moving metal tools. I have my 3D printers on the Husky right now and it shakes quite a bit while on the Gladiator it's rock solid. The Huskies have been cheaper (which is why I have one) but right now these deal of the day prices undercut it, making it an easy call. I've not found anything on Amazon that's comparable (i.e. with a 1.75" or more thick worktop and backer bar.)

looks like a pretty decent desk but I think there was one at harbor freight made out of solid wood that looked a lot nicer

I wouldn't trade my Gladiator workbench for anything out there. It's a beast, adjustable, has a built in powerstrip, I use it everyday. The OP model probably best for a desk or over the washer or dryer.
