How's this compared to the Lenovo legion pro or the Asus OLED? Anyone got first hand comparisons?

Just as good. Better than the HP, Acer, etc, equivalents.

Yeah I'm torn between the legion 7i and this.

Asus OLED on G16 is vastly superior

The screen, yes, but the 4080 on the G16 is only a 115W TGP one, compared to the 175W on this beast.

Yes, it's a trade off to consider. G16 is much smaller, higher build quality, better battery life and much better speaker and screen quality. This machine has more raw power and will net more FPS, although it's not as noticeable as you would think. Maybe 10% difference I'd guess without digging for benchmarks.

This laptop is very loud running on a full load . The upper half on the underside is a giant heatsink if your into that thing. I for one am so the more metal the better. Lots of hot air pumping out of there definately prop this thing up. I have the 4090 version same specs otherwise and it's phenomenal

A QHD+ 240Hz IPS display can never be 250-nits.
It's 400-500 nits.
The review you're referring to was probably of the FHD+ 144Hz model.

it is possible to flash a scar 16 bios on the zephyrus giving you the full power 4080 it will run hotter but cooling system on the g16 can 100% handle it

I just bought the Acer Predator Helios 18 with the 4090 and led screen. It's being shipped, but I got it for $1,907. Just curious if I shouldn't waited? My old laptop is starting to have problems and I'm afraid I jumped the gun
