Last 3 times I travelled out of EWR, CLEAR took longer than TSA Pre. Unless it's free, I don't see the point of this, especially since they are always short staffed at EWR.
Sick bro
Clear is not worth it. TSA pre does the same thing but for cheaper plus its in far more locations and for $120 you get global entry which clear does not

Similarly, the last 3 times I could use CLEAR, CLEAR took longer than the priority line without Prechek. This is because CLEAR accelerates you into the economy security line where the average passenger isn't as acquainted with the process compared to frequent fliers. The airports were MIA, EWR, and LAS. I got so fed up at LAS that I cancelled on the spot even though it was reimbursed by American Express. It's very poorly implemented. I'll happily take the $75 Uber credits though.
Speaking of a hot deal on Uber, I killed it with Uber call options over the last week.
I had Clear for two years because my work paid for it, but TSA-Pre with Global Entry easily trumps all. Dealing with the biometric screen and the escort usually takes longer than TSA-Pre at the airports I frequent. Most AmEx benefits pays for TSA, and I see this Clear deal is offered too, but I'm not even going to bother with it.
I just applied for Amex Platinum, can someone give me a quick rundown of how to get the Global Entry and Clear/Pre. Is it done though Amex member services or separately. TIA

Clear is supposed to walk you to the front of either the regular security line if you don't have pre-check.... or the front of the TSA precheck line if you have precheck.
At least they have the couple rare times the pre-check line was long and I bothered to use em.... Once at RDU and I think the other time was either SFO or SEA.

Right but I'm talking about the first class / frequent flyer line. Without Pre-Chek x-ray screening takes longer than the identification screening so getting to the front of the economy identification is still slower than priority because of security screening.
I logged into my expired account and the offer was there when I logged in. After you click on the reactivate button, it showed the terms of the offer. It showed the same terms with the Uber $75 promo whether I entered the VDAY25 code in the promo code box or not.

my membership expired, when logged in I saw the banner and didn't have to enter the VDAY25 code.
Thank you. Sadly I don't seem to have it. If I put in the promo code, it just says: "Specific Months Promotion" without any details. So it may not apply.

literally just sign up and charge it to your card and it gets reimbursed.

I assume from the first URL it is VDAY25.
Or does it only work if there's a banner (or maybe email promo)?
