2Ah are just fine for the average DIYer. I run my drill, driver, work light just fine on a pair of 2Ah batteries and get through most projects. I have a 3Ah and 5Ah for power hungry tools like recip saw and circular saw. Just depends on how long you use the tool for when you are working on a project. All day driving screws for a deck build? You're going to need more Ah.

General contractor here, this is not entirely true. They have their purposes, if you're in high places and all you're doing is replacing light fixtures/similiar task where you're just driving screws, these are the best, they're light and compacted. Just have one one the tool, and one in your pocket and your'e good to go for the rest of days with said tasks.

Totally agree. I only use 2ah for drill and impact driver. They last plenty long and keep the tool light and small.

That's not at all correct. I have batteries ranging from 2Ah to 8Ah, and they all have their purpose. Bigger batteries will run longer and may provide more power, but they're also bigger, bulkier, and heavier. For most DeWalt tools, a 2Ah battery will work just fine for most DIY projects. You won't get 8 hours straight with a circular saw, and you won't drive a deck's worth of screws, but most people aren't doing that every day.

To put it simply, most normal users and DIYers and weekend warriors could get buy with just about any tools they have and a couple of 2Ah batteries.

So no charger. This is a no-go for someone that doesn't have ANY DeWalt tools. Sucks because id really like to have a 18-20v 3in. Cut off tool but I guess I'll stick with my M12 milwaukee

Charger is like $20. Look on Amazon, FB marketplace, eBay, etc.
