MSI 49" Curved OLED Display vs. Samsung 49" Curved LED - HELP Deciding

All, Looking for any advice on which monitor I should choose. Im not a gamer, and will use the monitor for productivity, so a lot of the features are a mute point for me. But wanted the screen real estate and clarity. Any opinions on the matter would greatly be appreciated.

Samsung 49" Curved LED - 5120x1440 - 1000R - VA Panel - 240hz - $750

Here's an article about 1000R vs 1800R

https://www.msi.com/blog/1000r-vs...ed-monitor

Also think about screen burn with the oled, although the MSI has "oled care 2.0" to manage it and a 3 year warranty.

EDIT: where are you seeing those prices?

The MSI is about that price on Amazon and the Samsung is overpriced at nearly $1300 by a mile. It is usually less than <$1000 on the consumer side and <$800 if you can get the employee discount.

TLDR;

I have ruled out all of the OLEDs that are QD-OLED (gen 1, 2, 3) until the subpixel layout is fully fixed. Gen 3 is an improvement but the QHD resolution allows for the text fringing to still be seen.

I'm highly sensitive to text fringing and I assume the MSI is using a QD OLED panel.

Therefore, I have been shopping the Samsung non-OLED (G95C) as my exclusive use is productivity.

Thank you. Yes I was leaning towards the Samsung non-OLED myself. Will pick it up at Sam's Club as they have a great return policy similar to CostCo.

Great plan! It has 10 vertical local dimming zones but that is actually not a lot (but better than nothing!). Expect to see some light bleed around the curves. It will be totally normal and shouldn't be noticeable on too many screens (mostly black screens where the local dimming is doesn't fully turn that area off).

I will eventually grab this monitor (almost did 2 weeks ago when it was even cheaper on Samsung.com). Additional input is that I have the G65B (similar in it is curved, VA, limited vertical local dimming) and that panel was fine.

or
LG UltraGear 49" Ultrawide DQHD Curved Gaming Monitor - 1000R - VA Panel - 5120 x 1440
