Negative comments suggest that there was a factory change that cheapened out on the design so that hose is now very stiff and easily get crushed when packing for travel causing leaks. Too bad as the price is very good.

May be good for a back up to keep at home, but a leaky hose is really a pain in the ass.

Definitely misread "cpap hose" as "crap hose" and was immediately extremely confused.

Finally, my deal alert for Resplabs hose pays off. I haven't gotten good sleep in a decade because I was waiting for this to go on sale. I can finally rest easy now.

In for 1, thanks. I've been using the heated hose but for 4 bucks I'll see if I can tolerate the regular one.
Also, for anyone else looking, you have to click "subscribe and save" on the product page for the 50% off coupon to show up.

The biggest problem with the non-heated version is rainout and that's highly dependent on your humidification settings and the ambient temperature of your room. If you have the CPAP humidifier cranked up and your bedroom cold, the water vapor condenses and you end up with water in the hose.

You can avoid this by turning down/off rhe humidifier, but then you get cool-dry air instead of warm moist air and that can result in nasal/mouth/throat dryness/irritation. You can mitigate this somewhat by leaving water in the humidor while it is off for some passive humidification.

Another alternative is a cloth hose sleeve/wrap that will insulate the heated most air from cooler bedroom.
