It's time for the last years Max 40% off plan to renew. When I tried to cancel the yearly subscription, Max offered to keep the current Premium (No Ads, 4K option) for another year at 169.99.

I'm seeing the same $169.99 offer when I select cancel, I was hoping for one to re-up at the $139.99 that I paid last year. Oh well…

$169.99 is their standard price for an annual plan for Max w/o ads with a one-time payment. Everyone can get that price - new subscribers, those cancelling, students, etc.

The Standard plan is $169, but the Premium plan, which the OP said is the one they have, is $209. So if they got that for $169, they saved ~$40.

Sadly, I don't see on Sams Club site where I could save via their affiliate link like last year. I too got that notification that OP got and I too was going to cancel to save the money as I'm truly only paying for it for the sports and food network cooking shows.

Paying about $14/m for the annual is super fine for me honestly

Same here, so I just tried it and it gave me the offer and it won't bill until my renew date in April. There's literally no reason not to take it because you can still cancel again before then if you want.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank phonic

While I have the Standard ($169) plan, and just renewed this past October, the recent comments got me to try doing the cancel process to see what would happen. Lo and behold, I got an offer for $139 ($30 off) my next year, which won't get billed until October. Not bad to save some money when the time comes. Hopefully there will be some CC promos out there around that time again too.

Your offer has been applied.
Your plan: Standard (Yearly)
Your offer: $139.99/year for 1 year
Your offer starts on your next billing date: Oct 20, 2025

The T&Cs for anyone wondering:
Your offer will start on your next billing date. You'll still have access to your current plan until then. You can also cancel or make other changes to your existing plan until then. Any benefits, bundles, savings, free trials or promotional periods specific to your current plan will not apply to your new plan. By selecting "Take Offer," you agree that after the promotional period your subscription will automatically renew every 12 months at the then-current yearly price (now $169.99/year, plus applicable taxes) on a recurring basis until you cancel. To cancel, go to Settings > Subscription. If you cancel before a renewal, you'll have access until the next billing period.

Thanks for the suggestions! Was due to renew in march, hit cancel and it offered the $139.99 for standard. Stacking with the AMEX deal will be a nice savings of $55 vs full price.

You misinterpreted that screen. You're being offered $169 and it's reminding you that you did better last year at $139.

The price it showed me for last year was $105. The 169.99 is for standard and I'm getting 139.99. I don't have the 4k premium one. Figured that top tier plan isn't quite worth it for me yet.

Well, that's better than $209, isn't it. $139 isn't an option.

Not for premium that's for standard
