Disagree about the value proposition. These serve a specific purpose, namely when you want music but also NEED to hear what's going on around you. Noise canceling ear buds do the opposite. When I ski, I exclusively use Shokz and wouldn't even THINK of using anything else, because I can't afford to miss someone shouting if I'm about to get hit or buried. If my Shokz have a dead battery, I'm going out without music.
Mini or nothing.
They still are. What are you talking about?

I hope they go back to being bone conduction, that's the sole reason why people wanted them.

They are both bone and air. You can adjust the settings in the app

I have several Shokz products. They're all at least bone conducting. You can put ear plugs in for complete noise isolation, as well.

Incidentally, the Pros are not worth the money, IMO. They have a lower IP rating. I can wear my regular Openruns anywhere (except swimming), but when I accidentally wear the Pros in the shower, they sound like they're going to pop, so I have to rush to shut them off and leave them for a few days to dry out.

Add to that that the sound quality isn't significantly better (the Pros sound a bit muddier…even BEFORE they were worn in the shower, LOL) and mic tests with friends have proven the mic is actually a bit worse in most cases than regular Openruns…so it's not nearly worth the price gap,

If you're looking for exercise Shokz, I recommend the Openruns. If you're looking for better call quality, I recommend OpenComms.

Call quality is very important to me. I looked into the OpenComm model, but the boom mic is a deal breaker.

I thought my old aftershokz Air (ca. 2019) died, but it turned out the charging port had just gotten too dirty for a good connection. At this price, I almost wish they had died.

A lot of the value proposition for these has been supplanted by noise canceling earbuds. But these will always be better for yard work (use with earplugs), for having situational awareness around the house (listening for kids or going in and out of conversations), and situational awareness on the road. Plus, these have longer battery and aren't so easy to lose.

These receive 10x as much as use as my AirPods Pro 2's. In the office? Shokz. In public? Shokz. In the airplane or a loud coffee shop working? AirPods. If I'm anywhere that someone may talk to me, I always where my Shokz and absolutely recommend them.

I was also thinking about OpenComm but I opted for OpenRun Pro (not Pro 2) so I can wear them outdoors listening audiobooks and podcasts. I primarily use them for online meetings throughout the day and people have no problem hearing me. The battery lasts for more than a day.

They are also fantastic in jobs where you are required to wear earplugs, but often get phone calls. I don't have to shove my phone hard into my ear to have a call in the noisy environment. Noise reducing mic works pretty darn well on my Openrun Pro 1. Pro version is worth it because it supports multipoint pairing, which means I can go seamlessly between my phone audio and computer audio without any disconnecting/reconnecting. I use them in the office, in the field, while running, in the car, and the battery lasts forever and charges quickly.

Personally, I can't find a single ear bud that will stay in my weirdly shaped ear-holes, so these are great. Unless I need noise-cancelling or care about what sound quality, but that's what the Sony XM series of headphones is for.
