Xfinity has for its Platinum Rewards customers the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE for $2.08/mo or 10.77/mo or $27.66 per month for 24 months. Early payoff fee is $650 + tax Please read this entire post to fully appreciate this Xfinity Mobile offer.

https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/sh...rName=Blue

This deal is only $250 more than competing offers at other carriers.

Eligibility: Only for existing Xfinity Mobile post paid Platinum Rewards customers who have:

1. maintained continuous service for five more years with no previous reward or upgrade taken, and,

2. agree to send in your current phone which must be undamaged, in re-salable condition, no scratches or marks please!

https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/sh...rName=Blue

INSTRUCTIONS:

- Phone orders only! Order must be placed via phone only and to the Philippines call center only. They kept me on the phone for 3 hours and 07 minutes. YMMV.

- Trade-in required. No cash value given for trade-in on the written trade-in offer but you must agree to mail in your current phone within 7 days.

- $25 one time "set up fee", eligible existing post paid accounts only.

START WITH CHAT: After being handed off to four people without them telling you that they left the conversation request escalation via return phone call.

THE PHONE CALL: Rest assured that the actual terms are "in their system" so no worries if the verbal agreement(s) / conditions is / are substantially different from the agreement which you will receive in 5 minutes via text message.

You must sign before the order will be placed. The rep will then read all of the "actual terms which are in the system" back to you several times recording your consent to each condition. . Do not question discrepancies between the version(s)of the verbal offer(s) and what the written agreement says as doing so will extend your call time out beyond the 3 hours required for the agent to read back everything "in their system" with multiple repetitions.

No worries as mentioned. Digitally sign your agreement to pay $650 in 24 monthly installments of $27.08. Agree to send the phone which currently in use on your account to Xfinity.

Trade in: The only trade in allowed is the phone currently assigned to your Xfinity Mobile account. Be prepared to give them the IMEI number which must match that on your account. They will read it back very fast and ask you to confirm twice.

It's not clear what happens if you breach the agreement by failing to mail your exiting phone to them but I think I heard her say in one of the oral version(s) of the agreement that you have to pay an additional $650 or $250.

Contract does not say that you will get any credit for sending your phone to Xfinity so assume the "trade-in" / gift value is -0-.

FAQ: What happens if Xfinity fails to provide cell signal to you at your current home address during the 24 months of the equipment only contract?

A: No worries! You can pay $650 to be released from the $27.08 monthly payments on the phone. There is no plan / monthly service contract, cancel any time. But be aware that if you cancel after 14 days but before the 24th month then $650 is regardless of how many payments which you have already paid.

edit Feb 26: $1,300 in fraudulent Xfinity charges finally reversed but only after filing an online complaint with the FCC and the state PUC. Their game is to lead the subscriber on with a disingenuous corporate escalation. It's not enough to dispute charges because they will put you in collections. Ensure that you obtain the help of regulators to have the charges reversed before porting out or closing your account.

edit: update Feb 22. I refused delivery on the S24 FE. Tacking shows proof of refused delivery and Xfinity signing for it when returned to them. Nevertheless Xfinity did all of the following:

(1) refused to refund the $88 charged to my card time of order as "down-payment" for S24 allegedly for "taxes"

(2) is causing the never delivered S24 FE to appear on my account as an activated device with 23 payments of $27 or $650 due.

(3) Xfinity changed the status on my devices page of my fully owned BYOD S10+ from customer owned to "Xfinity owned" with $650 due payable in 24 x $27 payments!!!! it's theirs "because it was promised to them as a trade in" No trade? No matter. Trade in value was to be -0- according to the paperwork but now it;s suddenly $650. Customer receives nothing Xfinity thinks it can steal your BYOD phone. Wow.

(4) Cramming my account in to a $45/mo plan, now not allowing any changes even though not under any contract ever. No cell signal provided to billing address doesn't matter to them- We're not responsible for Verizon owned towers".

(5) Locked my phone number refusing to give a port out release pin. Also refusing to allow me to terminate service. Never have been under any contract with them.

My bank after seeing the UPS tracking showing that the S24FE is in Xfinity possession and never delivered to me issued a charge back for $88, no device or product delivered.

Retaliation: Xfinity then put an $88 "past due amount"on my account instead of issuing the refund due which would have cancelled the charge back.. Then it froze my account as "past due" when I'm actually running a credit balance.

They do this while admitting never having delivered anything to me and claiming that the "back office must issue credit" "hands tied" as they cram and slam locking up my account. Looks like the retaliation is to intentionally harm my credit report.

Be warned, never buy any device or service from Xfinity Mobile. Escalating to U.S. corporate resulted in empty promises to issue credit, as the fraud escalates with new charges and other illegal conduct.

Unbelievably audacious of Xfinity Mobile to lay claim to my fully owned BYOD S10 which has been on my account for years. Imagine logging in to your a/c device page and seeing status of your BYOD phone changed from a customer owned to Xfinity owned with a $650 "owed".

I have filed FCC and state regulator complaints. Xfinity Mobile is the carrier from hell. Never before have I seen multiple acts of fraud like this from a cell service provider. -End edit

$499 at Best Buy.

That's not the complete deal. Today after my S24 FE had shipped Xfinity Mobile informs me for the first time that, as part of this "promotion" my account is required to be "upgraded to unlimited plus" with a $10/month price hike. I could not have made it more clear at the time of ordering that I do not agree to any higher monthly cost for service.

I already have unlimited text data and voice. How does that get "upgraded"? They haven't replaced the cell tower destroyed in the 2020 wildfire. No signal at my house for 4 years. My account shows only a dozen calls per month on rare trips to the metro. No signal forced me to have an analogue landline installed for $60/month.

So, what began as an offer of a handset upgrade, with trade in, for $2.08 x 24 months = $49.92 total turns out to come with a hidden $240 "upgrade fee" for cellular service which is not being provided in any case.

Deal summary
$49.92 handset upgrade with trade-in of S10+ but only if they decide that it's in re-salable condition.

$1,200 for continuing to pay $50/mo for 24 months even though there is no cell signal provided to me within 1/2 hour drive from my house.

Slick con: "free to cancel any time" "No, service contract required" except that cancelling before 24 months requires payment of $650 because retaining service is required as part of the handset upgrade "promo". I'm not under any contract now and pay nothing to cancel the signal-free cell service. They keep your trade-in phone as a donation to boot.

$250 surcharge on the required "upgrade" of service from unlimited signal-free to Unlimited Plus signal-free service.

$1492.92 actual total cost of the S24 plus whatever value your S10+ had which they keep with -o- reimbursement. Super Slick Xfinity!

Or, $710 for the S24 to cancel the first month due which anyone might consider for failure of Xfinity to restore cell signal. And you donate your old phone to them.

Great way to show your appreciation Xfinity to your Platinum Rewards subscriber with ten years of loyalty.

Five calls to their corporate office today resulted in disconnect after transfer to their executive resolution team within seconds. "Bill" eventually calls me back "completely understanding" the abuse from their Philippines call center with an offer of $25 compensation, no credit for lack of cell signal for their tower taken off line. Total time stolen from me chatting and talking to them is 10 hours over the last week.
