I had this pan, or maybe the earlier version of this pan, up until about a month ago. It finally started wearing out and getting little gouges in it (my fault).

Excellent non-stick pan. Lasted me for about a year and a half of near daily use.

I have this and hate it. The bottom isn't flat, all the liquid pools in the edges. The only reason I have this thing is to make over easy eggs, and it struggles because the butter won't stay in the middle.

Get a cast iron skillet, an enamel cast iron dutch oven, and a cheap nonstick frying pan for eggs. The rest of your pots and pans should be stainless. Then you can make any recipe.

No coating that would otherwise flake off over time and be ingested along with the rest of your food. Because there is no coating, stainless steel can withstand much higher temperatures, such as when searing steaks or other meats. For that same reason, stainless steel pans can be stacked during storage, whereas this is not a good idea for pans that have a coating that would be damaged by stacking. Also, because there is no coating to protect, you can scrub however hard you'd like and with whatever scrubber you'd like when washing.

There are probably other advantages as well.

As someone who is not a professional at cooking, but does a fair amount of home cooking, I think both are good to have (stainless steel plus a good high quality nonstick)

Undoubtedly stainless steel is more durable and safer to use but also considerably harder to cook on. For example if you're just wanting to fry some eggs, it's very difficult on stainless steel IMO. Have to let the pan heat up to the right degree first then add lots of oil

Nonstick as long as you take good care of it (medium heat only, don't let hard stuff scrape the coating) - should be relatively safe.

So I try to use stainless when I can but sometimes nonstick is just the easier/better way to go

Also a high quality stainless steel will cost like almost $100

Have/had this exact pan. It's in my trash can right now. Worked great for about a year, I was VERY careful to not over heat it, use blue scrubbys to clean it, not stick anything in it that might damage it.

Started flaking a couple weeks ago. Just gonna stick with Cast Iron from now on.

OH! I EXCLUSIVELY cooked eggs with it, NOTHING else. Soooo yeah.

They have a great warranty and will replace it. I've warrantied several sets of their pans over the years with no issues or hassle. I actually seek out Oxo products now because I know they will cover it, and they have.
