People have been using $5 Visible lines ($25 - $20 referral code for first month).
EDIT: I guess Metro doesn't have much of a time limit between when letting your account expire and placing new orders because I just placed an order for this ip13 and it's only been about 3-4 months since I let my previous metro plan expire. Also, I placed the order just minutes after creating a visible account and porting that new visible number over to metro.

This happens to me all the time
There are three threads here on SD about it. Search "s25 spectrum"
Mint & USMobile (Light Plan) are good alternatives. I've been using USMobile for only pay $10/month for 2GB. But if you're smart, you can bounce back and forth between Mint & USMobile and take advantage of new customer promos.
Link to verify if this is true? Everything I'm reading says that the phone needs to be unlocked. Locked Metro phones will not work with any other provider other than Metro by T-Mobile.
how long to i have to wait to try again? won't let me try with the number that i tried to port on the first attempt, i believe that port will auto cancel at some point...

"I purchased 2 when they were $99, and although locked for 1 year they've been working flawlessly for several months now on Tello using MKSD Ultra V5.6"
Wow, didn't know that was a thing. Lol can I do this multiple times?

But at least iPhones shouldn't need a year of active plan to unlock, meaning that we'll only need to pay for the first month and it'll unlock a year later, correct?
