The GV will initially show ok but then not go through.

Yes, it will show Verizon. You need phone number, account number, port-out PIN and ZIP. Text FOUR to 611611 and the four digits should match the last four of your phone IMEI/Account number (15-digit). The ZIP code is the one you entered when you activated the phone (for a new number, or you can check it by logging into your account on a browser). Text NTP when you're ready to buy iP13/port-out to get your 4-digit PIN.

Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can buy through Metro again? I bought a similar deal last fall (for the iPhone 12), then just didn't renew the monthly plan.

EDIT: I guess Metro doesn't have much of a time limit between when letting your account expire and placing new orders because I just placed an order for this ip13 and it's only been about 3-4 months since I let my previous metro plan expire. Also, I placed the order just minutes after creating a visible account and porting that new visible number over to metro.

You would have to wait until the phone arrives. Adding a second line requires first line to be active and in order to activate the first line you would need the phone since the activation process sends a OTP.

For those getting the "Sorry your transfer could not be processed" error while adding second line, try going back to the "Transfer Number" page to add the account details. For some reason, the website skips that transfer page (so you wont be prompted to enter account details) and goes to payment page directly causing the final step to fail with transfer error.

Someone said the terms of deal change tomorrow requiring 12 months of service; so today is the last day to order if I'm going to cancel service right away? I'm porting out of Xfinity mobile to get this deal and then porting back into Xfinity mobile the next day and I will get the Xfinity mobile $100 bring your own device credit. Does anyone will know will I lose all my Xfinity mobile voicemails?

Do we need to do the activation on the actual phone or can we activate it online on our computer? If doing the activation online on the computer do we need to power on the phone as well and connect to WiFi at least or it does not matter?

What's up with the huge lag time in posts showing up? Not sure if the deal still works now because posts are showing up 5-6 hours later. I see people saying the deal is still live but when I go to checkout the phone is no longer free (yes, I chose to port in a working number). Called support and they said the deal is over. Maybe I got an agent that doesn't know what she's talking about?

If we want to do trade in at Apple store for GC can we do it while Metro service is active on the phone? Or do we just do a factory reset to get to the "hello" screen and it should be fine? Do we need to take out the SIM?

metro is undergoing technical issues it seems. And one of agent who helped me told they are changing the policy for free phones very soon this week. However he didn't mention what it is.
