As with all Tello deals, this can be combined with a referral to get $10 Tello dollars to use in the future. And if you don't really need 35GB, you can downgrade after month three. Tello makes it easy to change each month, so you don't have to pay for more than you need. And while it doesn't work for this plan, if you have a fixed amount of data/minutes, you can rollover unused units by manually renewing a day before the autopay.

!!!Warning!!!: They operate on a 30-day billing cycle (28 days in February), effectively shortening the billing period and costing you an extra month every four years. Over time, they steal 5–7 extra days from you per year. I'd recommend considering an alternative.

If it matters to some, Boost does not allow international text (in/out) without addon when in US. Tello includes that but I don't know about others. I use it for overseas OTP notifications. Similarly, when travelling, Tello supports calling & text through Wifi. Means if you have wifi (or cheap overseas SIM in dual SIM phones), then you can use your US number. Both are useful in some scenarios like mine. I will be switching from Boost to Tello after my annual plan ends.

Tello is great for seniors who just need a simple cheap phone plan without tons of data. I have my mom on a $8 calling plan that still includes a small amount of data that she never uses.
Is she actually using 500 minutes per month? You can manually renew her service one day before the auto renewal and roll her unused minutes. After a couple of months of banking minutes, you might be able to move her down to the $6/month plan. You may not find it worth the extra steps to save $2, but it takes just a couple of clicks to log in and renew early. I set a calendar reminder, so I get an email when to renew.

Seems like three of the best big data plans currently are Tello 35GB Premium, 5GB Hotspot, $25/moBoost 35GB Premium, 12GB Hotspot, $25/mo when purchased yearlyUS Mobile Unlimited Premium, Unlimited Hotspot $32.50/mo when purchased yearly
I got unlimited everything, hotspot, data, talk...everything for $27 for 3 months! The service was fantastic no problems, except the "rushed delivery" didn't includé weekends and I had ordered on a Friday morning, expected it by Sunday ...I did however receive it on Monday instead of their predicted Tuesday. Contacting them is irritating tho(? about my sim delivery date). Leave a message with support and the reply is between 2 hrs and 12 hrs ...but other than my "rushed delivery" prob, no other issues, and it was actually not reading the fine print concerning my order & that was on me. Not sure what kind of deals they are offering now. I just enrolled in auto pay for $25 unlimited everything as well, and haven't looked back!!

Thanks for the input, to me it's cheap enough and I have it setup with auto pay thru my PayPal account so she doesnt have to mess with it. For some reason, tech and seniors dont get along well. I've spent too many hours trying to figure out her passwords etc. Phone manufacturers should make an "old fart" setting on smartphones for seniors who could give a shit about iCloud, passcodes, Apple ID, apple pay, etc. The just want a phone to call with. Anything more is only confusing and time consuming. Sorry had to vent.

Which one are you talking about? Tello, Boost, or US Mobile? All three are mentioned in the post you quoted.

I really like Tello! I wish their unlimited plan was cheaper than $25/mo. It needs to be less expensive than Visible, Total, etc.
It's the best plan out there for unlimited .

If it matters to you,Tello does not support RCS on iOS devices yet and they aren't sure when that feature will be coming either.

Does anyone know if the 3 month promotion starts from date of purchase or date of SIM activation? TIA.

It's certainly SIM activation as your month starts when you activate not when you purchase.
