Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

I waited for 100 minutes, and then had a 30 minute phone call. All in all I got two 16 pros for 150 each over 24 months plus $150 Costco gift card. What an excellent deal. Thank you so much for posting this

It is wonky, I too question how it shows, and I eventually upgraded in a corporate store, from T-Life app and everything shows OK. I was questioning too, as there is not confirmation during the process, but I did it anyway. I need a new phone even if not a slckdeal.
After complete, I submitted old phone to T store (13): I got a text from T (almost immediately) that I will be getting a "monthly bill credit"
Still it not 100% sure, but the T store knows I will be back if there is a problem!
The explanation from T store employees was that it depends on the plan; as to why it can't quickly show up in any account (the discount is variable). My personal recommendation is go through the T-life app and screen shot everything

I still have a Simple Choice plan, this is what happened for me:
It is wonky, I too question how the discount shows during process, and I eventually upgraded at a T corporate store instead of Costco (Costco T rep told me it wasn't available for simple choice. Even if they were wrong, I couldn't confirm).
So, I started the process from T-Life app. I did it through T-life APP and pickup at a T Corp store. I need a new phone even if not a full slick deal. I am giving up the Costco benifits
