Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

I hope this is not the policy for future deals like when iPhone 17 is released but I fear it is.
Last year we got iPhone 15s at Costco. I went to a T-Mobile corporate store and gave them our iPhone 11 trade ins. I made sure the employee printed out all the documentation and give it to us, lol.

Background : I have Simple Choice, called them up and they said the Simple Choice is eligible for the promotion, it'll be $500 off. $70 is value of iPhone 12 mini (which Im trading in) which will be credited upon receiving, remaining $430 will be taken off the cost of the iPhone on a monthly basis, so total approx will be $17 per month for 24 months. Below is breakdown
$34.59 x 24 months = $830.19 (original cost)
-$70 credit to account (actual value of whatever phone you're trading in, mine was iPhone 12 mini)
remaining $430 taken off 430.19 ($70 credit + $430 remaining = $500 promotion)
$400.16 / 24 months = 16.667 per month payment for 24 months is the end cost.
**Called Costco, was on wait for approx an hour and then hung up. T-Mobile answered in 4 minutes and promised free next day shipping
No but the website shows the trade in deal for those on Go5G plans. I'm not seeing an option to get $500 on my old One plan though, despite seeing I'm eligible straight on T-Mobile's website. Stinks cuz T-Mobile charges $30 more and sends a locked phone. I might wait another day or two to see if the Apple website adds this deal for other plans.
Did you get it waived over the phone or via chat?
Is this doable? I understand that I would have to also pay some extra for the pro version ~$170.
