You can go thru Costco or Sams club if youre a member. Saves you the $35 fee and you can earn up to a $100 gift card for upgrading.

Seems like Simple Choice does qualify and gets you up to $500 trade in value.
Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

How much better is an iPhone 16 vs a 14? Worth the upgrade for only $500 trade in?
How about iPhone 12 vs 16 or 15 because I see $500 off for a 15 as well...Military 1.0 plan
My wife has a 12 worth $500
One daughter has a 14
Other daughter has an 11 worth $250 trade
Would go through Costco

Better vs newer is something to consider too.

I do this offer every time I can when I get a new phone for "free". Eventually if you don't you lose the value of the trade in, as you won't be somewhat current. Of course you can always go out and buy a used phone that gives the most value.

We did 4 phones little over two years ago, with the 14's and only paid a little was two were Max phones. Just did this yesterday with all 4 again, and two were completely "free" and we paid just a little for the max phones again.

Just a no brainer to is when all we have to basically pay is tax and any additional upgrades we want.

Any opinions as to whether the 16 Pro is worth the upgrade vs. the regular 16? Trading in a 14.
Do you care about the camera? If so then always get the Pro.

I upgraded from the 14 Pro to a 16 Pro in November...the difference is noticeable...faster and smoother.

Buyers from T mobile beware. I double checked my order this morning and the monthly credit shown yesterday is less than it is showing today. I called Tmob, and was on the phone with them for over and hour with nothing resolved other than their escalation dept will contact me back within 72 hrs. I have a screenshot showing my phone, IMEI, cost breakdown, monthly credit, etc, for the upcoming 24 months. The monthly credit on my future bill which shown on the cost breakdown screen is $20.84 and the actual credit is only $15.63 or $125 less over the 24 month period.

I can't believe that they are arguing the description screen showing everything especially the bold text at the bottom stating : WITH THE APPLIES PROMOTIONS, YOU'LL GET A MONTHLHY SAVINGS OF $20.84

If you're in socal, avoid the City of Industry Costco. They are making you buy 1 accessory to have the activation fee waived.

looks like they gave you an on the spot credit of about $125 for the value of the phone that you traded in.

You are wrong. TMobile gave you instant credit back on your account for the actual trade-in value. Your future monthly credit will then be $830-tradein / 24. It is this way for my account. Check your current account balance.

time is winding down and these Ebay sellers are grumpy. I've asked a few for any water damage or cracks on the screen and/or dead pixels and they all say to read the description.
not every single description mentions water damage or cracked screens

it's hard to just tell from the pictures that they have

it's no different for ordering through Costco on phone. I was told I will get trade in value of $500 for my iphone 13 via 24 monthly credits but when I checked my T-Mobile Account this morning, it shows only $350 credit for my iphone 13. My iphone 16 is not shipped yet. Anyone else who ordered via Costco see the same?

This is what T-Mobile account activity shows:
Plan start date : 02/15/25 (called costco t-mobile on feb 14 so this is good)
iphone 16 Original Price : $829.99
Monthly charges (24 left) : $34.59
Monthly Credits : $14.59 (Will be $350 after 24 monthly not $500)
Remaining Balance : $829.99

Here is how the description is listed. $500 Promotion applied It shows my name, device info, IMEI, etc

The monthly breakdown at full price: $829.99 or ($34.59 with no credits at all)

Promotional savings: -$20.84 for 24 months. That equals $500

WITH APPLIED PROMOTIONS , YOU'LL GET A MONTHLY SAVINGS OF $20.84

Now they are only giving me a $15 credit monthly, not the $20.84 like stated above. So the promo is only $375. And this is all listed in the checkout page before clicking on accept and continue prior to purchasing.

The agent recommended my sending the 16 back when I get it. Then re-order it once again and Tmob will apply the entire $500. I said yea right, fix it now.

Like the other posters said what is your trade in device? If they gave you $125 up front for it, they'll credit it to your account and the remaining balance ($375) will be credited over 24 months
