What? Unless I'm missing something, the OP deal much better. Same size batteries but max output for nearly half the price of your link.

It's best to get the M12 newest high impact torque wrench, which is quite compact and should do 95% of the tasks.

Unless you're a contractor with 20 employees, staying in a system just benefits the manufacturer. Regular homeowners should buy the best tool for the job and take advantage of these awesome deals that they put out to entice you into a new system. Frequently they are cheaper than "tool only" options. Also adapters exist to interchange batteries between manufacturers.

I don't disagree, but it's not so easy to do.

I'm a homeowner that's fully in the ridgid environment. If I wanted to have a tool from another environment I'd have to get a charger, battery and tool combo to start.

On a budget it's hard to take that big of a bite even if it is on sale.

I've tried to use those printed battery changers that let you use different batteries with tools. They don't survive long though since they are 3D printed.

I'm 100% Ridgid batteries due to the lifetime warranty (that I've used several times).

These Ryobi adapters are ABS, I have two of them, they are good:

I use them for my Ryobi nailer and miter saw as well as yard tools such as trimmer and blower.

I made an adapter myself for the Harbor Freight Atlas $80 40v pole trimmer:

Keep in mind that this is a heavy and powerful unit. It's possible to snap and break things (my buddy did when borrowing).

There is also the mid-torque unit (not on sale) that might be better for standard lug removal (if that's your primary use case). It's lighter at 3.5 lbs vs 5.72 lbs before batteries.

Mid-torque for comparison (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../318367676).
