According to crucial, the RAM is not upgradeable. $700 is a lot of money for a glass ceiling:

ngl... I know apple fans just got treated to 16 base wow... but 16gb is starting to feel very meh in 2025. was using 16gb back in 2013.... using 32 base now a days. casual user btw

The problem is that... even though an extra 16GB of RAM costs the manufacturer $25.00... you can not find a 32GB laptop for less then a thousand.

I've been using 32GB on my desktop since 2013. 16GB feels very cramped these days even on a laptop. I bought a new laptop just over a year ago (shopping for a friend now) that only has 16GB and I regret it. 512GB SSD is a little small too.

These are some of the nicest feeling laptops you can buy. I've had many GBs since 2017 and they usually make other devices feel cheap.

If you don't think this is a good deal, you might be used to plastic build / cheap as it gets devices? Think nice Apple device but with Windows.
