This is LGs gen 3 of this panel, so yes, for $511 new, it's a good price. The cheapest was $599 recently, or $550+~ open box excellent from bestbuy

I have the older gr version & this panel is brighter + white is actual white + a few other improvements I can't recall atm

4k at 27" is very sharp & and clearer, but 1440p for a 27 is better for gaming fps wise & ok for average use case. 4k is better for 32" and up imo. went from a 27" 4k ips to a 32" 4k oled back to 27" oled.

If reading/office work go for 4k, it will cost more typically. or if you like more clarity and or have a higher end GPU to support newer games

Nowadays, anything below 4k should not be considered. Just my 2 cents, not a expert
Meh, I just went from 1440p 32" IPS to 4k OLED 240hz.. Lol clarity ain't that much better. Unless I'm like 10" away from the screen then yea ok text is a clearer I can tell. But who's 10" away from their screen lol

But I'm no expert

Yeah no, 2k is still really good for games unless you have 4090 or stronger. I have a 4080 and I get about 150 FPS in story mode games in 2k, in 4k it would be too little FPS for me, probably around 80-90. 2k 27" is still really good because of high pixel density.

Pull the trigger. I use mine with a 4090 for PC gaming and a PS5. It's night and day difference even coming from a 165Hz LG IPS 1440p monitor, especially with games that support HDR. Got lucky with an open box at around $600 after taxes and worth every penny. I almost want to buy this just to have matching screens, but it would largely be a waste for just productivity tasks, but if you're a gamer, this is awesome as a primary screen.

As an OLED enthusiast, I'd say no & go with one of the QD-OLED variants, especially since they have ones that go to 360hz (500hz in near future). Reason being that the colors are better & the screen's glossy vs the matte haze of WOLED monitors.
