Rei had bondis on sale for 81 USD. So the price your trying to beat on these discontinued shoes is that.

REI only has Women's Bondi 8 on sale and in 2 sizes and 2 colors, FYI. Women's size 5 WIDE in Harbor Mist/Lunar Rock. Women's size 12 in Black/White. Unless you're needing these limited sizes/colors specifically, I would say this is a good deal.

Ultraboost sole lasts forever with their Continental soles. After walking more than 1000 miles on trail, in gym and around town in my UBH-22, my sole is still fine and now even half worn out.

Also, with Hoka Bondi 8 the high stack seemed nice in the beginning but felt dead after about 50 miles. No spring action and the midsole just seemed to feel like a block of thermocole on the feet. Shoe midsoles should maintain the spring action of compressing and then decompressing to give the feet some push back. ZoomX feels great in that for a much longer time.
i don't think Bondi was designed with spring in mind. they market it as running shoe, but its more of a walking/daily wear shoe. no arguments about it being mooshy.

idk. all my UB outsole get worn out fast. midsole on my cookies and cream UB still good. i wanna get new outsole. if yours last.. then i guess im the minority. not going back to nike or adidas.

Yes, whatever works and makes your feet comfortable. I was just giving my version of Hoka vs Nike vs Adidas.

UB aren't great for running and they are lifestyle shoes. And great at that really as they last a long time for me. I just walk on trails or in the gym or around town and it's easily been more than 2000 miles. They don't have a big push off as well, similar to Hoka. Hoka just felt dead after ~50 miles of whatever. The plush effect didn't last much and the sole just seemed to stay down. ZoomX is the best in that regard for the push off during runs or walks. Seems very lively in that sense... Adidas pure boost is like that... More lively and sole maintains it's springiness for a long time.

Hoka kicked off the large stack trend, but in my opinion, Nike's ZoomX and Adidas' Lightstrike Pro have taken it to the next level.
ZoomX is superb for running. I don't see the reason for the Hoka craze really as they lack a serious runner credential. Great for the gym and casual wear and more like a lifestyle shoe like the Adidas Ultraboost.

I have tried Lightstrike but not the Pro. How about the latest foam Dreamstrike from Adidas?

Which of these is the most comfortable for just walking around? I bought Rincon 3 and they honestly are not very comfortable on my feet all day.

You're paying for the name. Similar to people paying $45 for a thermo cup that says Stanley on it, when you can buy the same thing at Walmart for a third of the price, but people won't think you're special.
I beg to differ. I got my first pair of Hoka during a phenomenal sale ($65 for Clifton 9) and to my surprise they are head and shoulders better than Saucony, Nike, Adidas, Pumas, New Balance, etc that I've had/tried on. I noticed the difference the first time I put it on. I've been trying to find another sale like I had for my first pair and it looks like that was an one time thing. The best price I've found so far was $92 so this deal is pretty good. Need to decide whether to pull the string on this or not.

I got the Clifton 9's and they are great. I had to re-adjust how tight to tie the laces (not too much for me) since they started making my arches ache but after loosening it a bit everything was good.

The Bondi 8s were $165 at release, so really only $5 from generation to generation.
