Pull out the small wire circular clip inside and then it will be just the magnet that holds the bits in.
I have this, they're right
Reviews show the retention clip is so tight that you need pliers to pull the bit out.

100%

This is in my daily tool bag and it definitely gets less use than it would if it weren't so darn hard to get the bit out.

So similar to the craftmens ones I have. End up yanking the clip out as it becomes a joke whenever I needed to change bits. The idea is great but in practice not so much.

If you don't curse, this thing will definitely help you start! It serves its purpose, you just have to use it a few times to get used to it. Have it, love it, hate it, love it. It works

Like several others, I have this and rarely use it since it is such a pain in the ass. In addition to the difficulty getting the bits out, I find the pivoting angle too narrow to work well in most cases.

This is very close to the normal price of 8.95 for the past year. I don't know how these things get to be frontpage deals.

The much maligned complaint about these is actually a positive for me. I hate it when the bit gets pulled out unintentionally still stuck to the fastener. Happens often with allen heads. I use these for hours a day doing assembly and have one each set up with a 4mm and 5mm bit. Much quicker to swap the whole thing than changing the bit. Then I have a different bit holder that's easier to swap bits for my less common used bit sizes. Not ideal if you're going for a minimal edc toolkit, but worth the tradeoff for me.

Same thing at lowe's same price. Does the bit come out? Mine 100% doesn't want to. Haven't put a pair of pliers to it yet but I'm finna.

I've got this thing. It's okay. The wobble feature works as advertised but the fit of the bit is WAY too tight. I have to use pliers to change them. I even bought a second one a few years after the first when someone said they updated the design, and I had the same problem. I carry it with me in my kit, but it's somewhat a tool of last resort.

I have one of these and love it. Initially I had to use pliers to pull the bit out. It was very annoying but after a while it loosened up... Now it's one of my go-to bitholders because of the versatility.

It's disappointing that they still haven't improved the bit retention mechanism, but I just picked up a couple more anyways. I plan to grab a cheap bit and just insert and remove it (with pliers) a bunch of times until I no longer need the pliers.
