I own this, and it's pretty good for the price and convenience. Motor can get bogged down but it's never stopped mid-cut on me.

If you want to one-and-done your miter saw though, I heavily suggest waiting for a deal on one with a sliding arm (for wider cuts). I wish I had.

Any thoughts on the quality of the 10" ryobi table saw with folding legs? They have it for $108

Yeah, I just bought it recently to cut 2x4s and I have to go way slower than I'd expect otherwise it stalls.

Get Bosch or Toshiba if looking for something cheaper vs Milwaukee Dewalt

Such limited usage with this. If you're going to get a 7 1/4 go with the sliding. Just picked up the Bauer from Harbor Freight. Ended up getting it for around $125 after coupon and tax. Spent another $90 and you can get an 8 ah battery and free tool. You may be spending a bit more, but you'll have a much better tool experience.

I just watched three reviews and it cuts 2x4's like butter. I have the little cordless version of this 7 1/4 miter saw and built a hot tube platform on an uneven pad and had to make dozens of different size pieces cut from pressure treated 2x4's, probably around 100 cuts or so and had zero problems. I doubt the cordless is more powerful than the plug-in variant. I think you got a dud.

Garbage, this will break within 2 years or so like the power washer. Mainly due to plastic parts.
They are all made of plastic these days, even expensive ones. I've had mine for four years and no problems. I've had my old 10" Blue Ryobi miter saw for about 20 years and it still works like new.

I have the cordless version of this saw and it works great. I built a hot tub platform with it.

That too. Actually this is my first go with Bauer cordless tools, but very good value on them and reviews have been solid, especially for the price.
