Lol. So we need AI in our damn fridges now? This is for those that have more money than brains.

I'm not thrilled about the screen (although I think it might be useful for family stuff, I worry that it won't be updated for long and likely failure, etc.) and AI but at this price it's at least not an expensive add-on.

Otherwise a good fridge with useful features (I love the beverage station).

Apparently it tracks items that go in and out of the fridge, so essentially keeps an inventory of items. I could see this being useful at the grocery store when you're not sure if you had enough of the item at home. I don't know how well the system performs - my guess it's not great.

I have the previous version with slightly smaller screen and do not recommend the counter depth version. The computer and beverage center reduce door space, and the split, shallow freezer is very limited. We keep bulky items in a larger fridge and often must repack things to fit in this one. Camera is useless but we often use the built in Alexa to play music and set timers. When this one dies, I'll get the full depth version.

Samsung couldn't make a regular fridge work…. There is a class action suit against Samsung about their ice makers. Samsungs service tech could not repair my 2 month old dishwasher in 3 visits. They did not have replacement parts for my induction cooktop. And their response to having a washing machine leak on the floor was it's probably overloaded.

I had all new Samsung appliances in 2017. I have none now. Recommend literally anything else.

My parents still have the fridge from my childhood, gotta be around 40 years old. Super inefficient, but it won't die. I don't see this one still working in 10 years with all the tech.

Need to have EPP / EDU account and chat with rep if you still don't see the price. I am trading in my old refrigerator for $150 and got Samsung care+ 3 years for $1 with total coming to $1800 + taxes. Costco would be 2500+ so not a bad deal!

That fridge is inefficient.

If this fridge lives 10 years . Is 200$/ year it $20 a month to make your food more fresh.. or storage more efficient.. . Probably less energy cost too

I have an older model that came with my house. It doesn't have "AI" but it does have Alexa and the big tablet touchscreen.

I find the screen really helpful and never would have expected to use it like I do.

When I realize I need something from the grocery store I add it on the screen and it syncs to my phone so I always have my shopping list. I can ask the fridge to convert things ie "how many tablespoons is in a cup.". I also use memos to note cooking times of popular air fryer items and I can keep recipes on it. I can stream music as well or do all the Alexa things like make appointments.

There are other functions like putting on Samsung TV or looking at Ring cameras if someone comes to the door, and stuff like that which I have never experimented with... but could be useful to others.

We also use it to slideshow photos and family members can add photos from their phone and post them on the fridge using the app.
