This price is okay. The current price with this model plus solar panel is $45. Last week, there was a sale at TP-Link that 2x solar cam bundle at $45. That was a much much better deal.

I am not buying any TP-Link product anymore after hearing this Chines company is collecting our daba in back doors.
They all do. I'd rather this and have offline with as card then ring who now will give your videos to LEO without your knowledge….Also some state LEO charge for their body cam footage, so they should pay us for ours.

Issue is most these cameras which operate without the need to subscription are Chinese owned. If you need American owned companies then you should be willing to pay $100 a year in fees.

So which is safer from the Chi-coms?

A TP-Link cam with local SD recording, or using an app for Temu, Tik-Tok, or countless other Chi-com apps for various devices?

None. They're all data thiefs and only a sucker would use any of them…

As an American I would be more worried about my information going to an American company than a Chinese one

US based spying is better? They have the control over your rights, not China. What more could you have to fear over china data collection than US data collection? Google locked a dad out of his account for a pic of his own kid that was for the doctor. People's Google searches are used in court against them regularly. So. Again. How is US based better?
