I wouldn't go around telling people they'll probably like this if they like the previous movies. I love Studio Ghibli, but I hated this. Same goes for a couple of my friends. They're big fans of the studio. Each one thought this was beyond boring. I've heard a lot of other Studio Ghibli fans say the same thing.

Agreed. I've seen every Ghibli movie/short/collab, a couple of dozen times at this point. This is the only one I can't watch again, just because the plot is so bad. The animation was nice though.

Agreed. I say that as a fan of the studio. I truly believe some people are just doing mental gymnastics to convince themselves that they like it.

Loved this film. If you like other Studio Ghibli films, you'll probably like this one. I can understand why it isn't for everyone, though.

Well I respect that you have a different opinion than I do! I'll give my personal opinion about it even if you don't like mine! Haha

This movie was an absolute drug trip. Still makes zero sense to this day after having watched it multiple times.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who didn't like it. I waited a long time to see this and went into it with high expectations. It just wasn't nearly as good as I'd hoped. The whole genre is a little new for me, so I thought that might have played a part. I enjoyed the animation style though.

You're saying Earwig was better? I'll admit it's not the best Ghibli story wise, but animation was top notch. I can't stand Earwig's animation

Below average for Ghibli, though I'd take it over Earwig any day 😅
