Lots of people raised this issue on Reddit, Facebook etc, and Elegoo pretty much said too bad.
Hard for me to trust initial releases after that, especially when a lot of "reviews" thus far are from paid YouTubers.
Just my 2 cents.

All I see are YT reviews, and I'll be honest... I don't trust them. I feel like they sway the population in one direction too much..... One moment they all say BAMBU #1, the next minute, BOYCOTT BAMBU!.... Make a decision already, sheesh!
And like, the bashing didn't start until Bambu did something the community didn't like, then all of a sudden now, the youtubers make videos that bambu printers come with so many NEW flaws, compared to other printers... Wishy washy judgement.
FWIW, it's been a few years, and I think it's time to dust off your neptune 3 lol... It looks like there's a subcategory just for it in the klipper git hub:
https://github.com/TheFeralEngine.
Albeit... slightly smaller build plate.
Picked up a flashforge AD5m for $195 on Amazon (BNIB) last week. Just finished up printing the enclosure kit for it (Was $25).
So I made out with a $220, enclosed, CoreXY printer!
That said, at least my P1S worked great out of the box and still does. The Neptune had serious firmware issues and was DOA.
I do need to dust it off. I have it and a couple Ender 3s sitting idle. I got a hold of some replacement boards for each on the cheap with the intention of converting to Klipper, but I just never got around to getting it done. That was long enough ago and things have moved so fast the past few years that these may all be largely obsolete when I get it done, but might just be fun project on it's own if I ever get the time.

The only thing my old CR-10 wins in (even with all the mods) is it's got a humongous print bed.
Like you said, I see NOTHING wrong with Bambu printers quality... The people trash talking really should stick to the point, and not veer from the fact that they are great, right out of the box, printers. However, their approach to better security is another conversation for another day... I stand on zero fronts, myself... I just want a printer that works lol... and eventually hope to slide myself into a printer that can do engineering prints (I plan to do a widebody GS-F one day).
