120Hz + VRR: +$75, batt life 110-90% of 60Hz

Roughly. YMMV.

In 2025 with Lunar Lake CPUs , how much more prohibitive is it to throw in a 120Hz screen on laptops versus 60Hz ? Cost wise and battery wise.

Hmmm... pros/cons for buying similar/same laptop from other retailers with recent deals? (Walmart vs Staples vs Best Buy YMMV PM) Not sure about warranties or support or any other particular differences...?

This is the same laptop that's on WM. Only thing that held me back is the 60hz screen. Incredibly nice machine if that doesn't bother you. Can even play modern games at low settings.

I bought the WM deal. Only thing I would say is that black one is a fingerprint magnet, so this color should be better.

120hz screen holds nothing for me so I wouldn't pay a dime extra. Have a iPhone with 120hz screen and one with 60hz screen and can't really tell a significant difference. IMO one of the most overrated features of the last few years.

Vivobook is 60Hz. ZenBook is 120Hz.

The screen is CRAP! It flashes slightly all the time and give me&wife headaches. We have two and returned both. The $549 256v version.

How bad is the "screen door effect" on either of these laptops? (Vivobook or Zenbook)

Incredible laptop. I also bought the Walmart deal and I agree about it being a great computer, but fingerprints can be a little annoying. Easily overlooked and the pros of this machine outweigh that con by a mile.

I realize you've already returned it, but PWM flickering is fairly common. That said, ASUS provides a software mechanism to use DC dimming (no flickering - much better for those sensitive). The colors and brightness of the screen are good so long as you aren't taking it outside in sunlight (super reflective).
